Love this for my essential oils

This is a great nebulizer for essential oils. It has 5 different settings as well as a knob allowing you to adjust how much mist actually comes out. You do have to read the instructions to understand the settings. I like setting #2: the mist goes for about 2 hours then shuts off. If I fill it to the line, I can generally get 6 hours of use on the highest mist setting. Plus, don't leave standing water in it. If you do, you will need to fill it with water and a small amount of bleach to kill the mold that forms. (This is true for any water-type piece of equipment such as this.)
NOTE: The price shown here is about $25 higher than what it's actually sold for at all the places where I have seen these. (I happen to know the wholesale cost and the markup on this is very high.) |
Nice Misty Gadget

I love this little machine. It's small and quiet. I fill it with filtered water before I go to sleep and place a few drops of essential oil to help me relax, and to help clear my allergies and sinuses. I like it because it produces a fine mist. You do have to place a washcloth or placemat underneath it to catch the moisture. You can set it to automatically shut off in various time increments, and there are features to adjust dispersal of moisture. The internal blue light is very bright and can not be shut off while the machine is running. So if bright lights bother you while you sleep, I suggest you get an eye mask. You'll want to keep the device by your nightstand or close to where you sleep to get the benefits. Or, if you like it in the living room or day room, the light will actually be a nice addition. Be sure to rinse it out as soon as you are done using it I order to prevent bacteria from growing.

I used to snub my nose at all of the electric diffusers, and would only use candle oil burners. Then I bought this on a whim and I can't tell you how thrilled I am with it! It's better than using heat, and despite the price it'll save you money because 5 drops of oil is about all you need for *hours* of fragrance. I used a lot more in my candle burners. Buy it, you'll be glad you did!
FYI for those inexperienced in use of oils: for your protection/best results only use 100% pure essential oils and be sure you educate yourself on safe EO use. |
great ultrasonic diffuser

This is a great ultrasonic diffuser for lightly scenting the air using essential oils. I have one for my bedroom, purchased over 2 years ago, and another unit for my office at work, purchased over a year ago. The unit has a blue light and beeps when it runs out of water, so keep this in mind if you want to use it at night. Here are instructions to disable the blue light
http://www.abundanthealth4u.com/Light_Instructions_s/216.htm,
but unfortunately you can't disable the beeping.
Many ultrasonic mist diffusers do not have a fan to help disperse the mist into the room, the mist just seems to float out of the unit. This unit does have a fan and I find it very effective for helping to disperse the aroma of the EOs I use.
I've never had any trouble with either of the units I own, however it does have a couple of quirks. Neither of my units have a water fill mark and I find I can fill it to within about 1/4 inch of the top (not enough to cover the small cylinder inside). I've overfilled it and had it not work until I realized my error. Also, there is a floating disk inside that rises when you fill with water. One time I filled the unit and it would not work until I discovered that this disk was stuck & did not rise with the water level. A gentle tap released it and the unit then worked perfectly.
While I feel the unit is a tad expensive and should sell for under $50, I would still purchase another one if the need arose, because the unit is so well made and it's been such a reliable, effective device. |

| Yes. I agree with Cindy. I know the wholesale price too. Actually, I bought plenty with wholesale price. Good stuff, over-priced tag here. |
